SFMoMA opens new exhibit in the Koret Education Center

The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art has opened a new exhibit from artist Ramekon O’Arwisters in the Koret Education Center, a part of the museum that is accessible to visitors for free. The exhibit is called In Between and uses juxtoposition to provoke creative reflection. Outside of their normal associations, everyday objects like tricycles, sewing machines, and musical instruments prompt viewers to create their own meaning and appreciate their form and function.
O’Arwisters is best known as a textile artist, but says he draws inspiration from craft art as a way to find inspiration, calm, healing and resilience. InĀ In Between, he explores how creativity is sparked and how the act of making and creating is a powerful force. The exhibit is available in the Koret Education Center, located on the second floor, through May 2027.
