Brandeis SF: Breaking ground on a new chapter

On May 31, the Brandeis School community gathered to celebrate the groundbreaking of the Foundations for the Future campaign, a campus transformation that the Koret Foundation is proud to support. The project will add multiple features, including a new dining commons, a dedicated kitchen that will facilitate a hot lunch program, a “Jewishly-inspired” playground and new outdoor learning environments. It will also include a Beit Kehillah, which will house a collaborative faculty workspace and a new home for afterschool programming. The school was founded in 1963, and Head of School Dr. Dan Glass noted that this new project is based on the tradition of community investment that has shaped Brandeis for years. 

The renovations are extensive, yet thoughtfully planned with the rhythms of a working school in mind. Construction will take place from the summer of 2026 through the summer of 2027 and has been phased to minimize disruption, allowing teaching, learning, and daily school life to continue throughout the year.

The improvements will enrich the daily experiences of students, faculty and staff, and families, while supporting the evolving needs of Brandeis for years to come. Read more about the school here.
