On November 17, 1,800 thinkers, leaders, scholars, and educators gathered in Palo Alto at the Oshman Family JCC for the 10th annual Z3 Conference. At this year’s conference, attendees and speakers alike reflected on what life looks like more than a year after October 7. It was a day of reflection and forward-thinking dialogue around the conference theme: Our Future Starts Now. Oshman Family CEO and Z3 founder Zach Bodner spoke about the resilience of the Jewish people, which has been especially important at this fraught moment, and the importance of embracing complexity as the Jewish community grapples with difficult ideas and conversations.

Z3 is short for Zionism 3.0 and the conversations and speeches at the conference are one part of Z3’s mission to be the hub for the next stage in American and Israeli Jewish life. Breakout sessions at the conference focused on antisemitism on college campuses, the ongoing war, and the future of Zionism. The conference represented an invaluable opportunity to bring diverse voices together to shape the future of the global Jewish community.
