Chief Executive Officer

Jeff joined the Koret Foundation as the chief executive officer in 2005. In this capacity, he oversees all foundation business, leading the staff and board in executing grantmaking strategies and managing the foundation’s assets.

Jeff’s over 35 years of business experience ranges from executive positions at Bank of America, to vice chairman and chief operating officer of Shorenstein, to partner of a boutique financial services firm.

Jeff’s community and philanthropic leadership activities span numerous roles in both the general and Jewish communities. He currently serves on the board of overseers of the Hoover Institution at Stanford University; the board of governors and the audit committee for the Commonwealth Club; the board of Israel on Campus Coalition; and the national executive committee of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC). He is a trustee at the Center for Human Rights Leadership at his alma mater, Claremont McKenna College.

He is a past chair of AIPAC of Northern California and a former board member of the Jewish Community Federation of San Francisco, Peninsula, Marin and Sonoma Counties. He has also served on the executive committee and board of directors of the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce, and as a director of the Exploratorium.

Jeff and his wife reside in Marin County. They have two grown children and two grandchildren.
