‘Happiness is helping others’ may sound simplistic, but it is profoundly true. It applies equally to anything and everyone—from the organizations to which Koret awards grants, to colleagues providing each other with the information we need to do the best job, to the good feeling you get from pitching in.

Grants Manager

Marina joined Koret in 2011 as the grants manager. She oversees grant administration in support of the Foundation’s programmatic work, with a focus on compliance, grant reporting, grants database management, and policies and procedures.

Marina began her career in the nonprofit sector as an accountant in finance and administration for the San Francisco Education Fund. Her next job, with the Marin Community Foundation, provided experience with donor-advised funds and endowment investment pools.  Prior to joining Koret, Marina worked in the Office of the President of the UC system, where she added financial system projects to her skillset. Marina holds a bachelors degree in accounting from San Francisco State University.

Marina was raised in San Francisco. She and her husband have two children and a Siberian Husky.
