Education is empowering, and it can be transformative. To be part of an organization that values learning, and uses its resources to provide this experience for so many, is amazing.

Office Manager & Executive Assistant

Cynthia joined the Koret Foundation in 2014, initially as receptionist. She quickly took on accounting support duties as well, and then segued into office management. Cynthia continues to assist in the finance department; she also serves as executive assistant to the CEO.

Prior to joining Koret, Cynthia was a flight attendant for six years with Virgin America. In addition to exploring different cities, she particularly enjoyed working with, and learning from, a diverse group of fellow flight attendants.

Cynthia received her bachelor’s degree in business administration from Strayer University, where she is currently pursuing a masters in K–12 education. She earned her associate of arts degree in liberal arts and sciences from City College of San Francisco.

Cynthia is a native San Franciscan, and a product of three public schools “named for great thinkers” (Raphael Weill Elementary School, Benjamin Franklin Middle School, Galileo High School). Cynthia describes all of her professional experience as being, at heart, about giving and serving—an extension of her church-going upbringing. She is a voracious reader, particularly of biographies and historical fiction. Cynthia recently rediscovered her love of travel after trips to Charleston, South Carolina and Paris, France.
