Overview
Koret supports institutions that promote a vibrant and distinctive Bay Area region, ultimately contributing to a high quality of civic and Jewish community life. Our current focus is on initiatives in the areas of Jewish Peoplehood and Bay Area Anchor institutions.
Jewish Community
Since its founding, the Koret Foundation has been rooted in the Jewish community, and our grantmaking reflects that commitment today. Joseph Koret cared deeply about his Jewish culture and heritage, and his values thrive through our funding strategies both locally and abroad.

Our Process
The Koret Foundation considers grant requests by invitation only. Our program staff actively surveys the landscape of nonprofit organizations engaged in innovative, exemplary work in areas of interest to us, and invites those with compelling projects to submit grant applications.
