Contemporary Jewish Museum – The Contemporaries

Director's tours, curator-led gallery talks, an Out-of-Order Seder, and special appearances by featured guests—these are just a few of the perks offered by the Koret-funded "Contemporaries" program at the Contemporary Jewish Museum. The Contemporaries are a group of young professionals and art enthusiasts who are part of the Young Adult Outreach Initiative at the CJM.

The Contemporaries explore modern perspectives on Jewish peoplehood with a dynamic array of social, educational, and philanthropic events throughout the year. In addition to expanding young adult programming at CJM, the Young Adult Outreach Initiative is planning a highly targeted marketing and outreach campaign using social media and cross-promotional opportunities with other Koret grantees like the HUB at the San Francisco Jewish Community Center, the Young Urbanists of SPUR, and the Commonwealth Club. The Contemporaries exemplify Koret's Initiative on Jewish Peoplehood, with its success at bringing young professional Jews together to celebrate Jewish ideas and culture.
