Reboot's National Day of Unplugging

Reboot invites you to slow down and "unplug" starting at sundown on March 1 as part of its National Day of Unplugging. A Koret grantee, Reboot is helping a new generation of young people re-engage in Jewish life.
"Unplugging" is one of the ten principles of Reboot's Sabbath Manifesto, a project that invites Jews to reinterpret core principles of the Sabbath. The first principle, Avoid Technology, challenges us to slow down and turn off digital devices for a day to connect with friends, family, community, and nature.
Now in its fourth year, the National Day of Unplugging has gained national headlines as some of the most prominent and tech-savvy Jewish leaders of the next generation touted a "digital detox." Several Koret grantees will be participating by providing activities to help unplug and connect to their community, including the San Francisco JCC, Contemporary Jewish Museum, Berkeley Hillel, Moishe House, and the Addison-Penzak JCC.
To promote the unplug challenge, Reboot created an Unplugging Pledge, allowing people to make a public commitment to set aside technology from sundown March 1 to sundown March 2.
