Touchdowns for Kids
There's a lot to celebrate lately when it comes to the 49ers. After a stellar season that concluded with an NFC Championship win and a Superbowl appearance, the 49ers succeeded of the field as well. An incredible$500,000 was raised to support Bay Area youth organizations throughTouchdowns for Kids.
With fundraising efforts led by Tad Taube, President of the Koret Foundation and Chair of Taube Philanthropies, Touchdowns for Kids is a collaboration between Koret, Taube, and the 49ers Foundation that directs funding to six local youth organizations. "To announce a combined $500,000 in contributions to be split among six terrific organizations helping kids throughout the Bay Area is a source of enormous pride for everyone involved in the program," said Taube, pictured below (left) with 49ers Chairman and Owner John York.
Now in its third year, Touchdowns for Kids has selected six new Bay Area organizations to support in the upcoming season: 49ers Academy, Breakthrough Silicon Valley, East Palo Alto Tennis and Tutoring Project, Juma Ventures, Navy SEAL Foundation–Family Support Program and Silicon Valley Education Foundation.
