As the 49ers secured the title of NFC West Champions, their efforts this season have raised $500,000 to support Bay Area youth organizations throughTouchdowns for Kids.

With fundraising efforts led by Tad Taube, President of the Koret Foundation and Chair of Taube Philanthropies, Touchdowns for Kids is a collaboration between Koret, Taube, and the 49ers Foundation that directs funding to six local youth organizations. "To announce a combined $500,000 in contributions to be split among six terrific organizations helping kids throughout the Bay Area is a source of enormous pride for everyone involved in the program," said Taube.

Now in its second year, Touchdowns for Kids welcomed several new funding partners as a result of last year's success, collaborating with the William K. Bowes, Jr. Foundation,the Sobrato Organization, John York, the Friend Family Foundation, DivcoWest Real Estate Investments, Marcus & Millichap, the Bill and Susan Oberndorf Foundation, and Paul Wick.

To the celebrate the program's success, representatives from the six beneficiary organizations met on the field at Candlestick Park as the 49ers defended their NFC West title: 49ers Academy, Bay Area Women’s Sports Initiative (BAWSI), Aim High, BUILD, Summer Search, and Pathways for Kids.
